The essential oil of vetiver is obtained from steam distillation of the roots of Vetiveria zizanoides. Also known as ‘khus’ Vetiver is extensively used in the perfume and cosmetic industry. Vetiver Essential Oil has been used in traditional medicine in South Asia, Southeast Asia and West Africa for thousands of years.
