The highly porous surface texture of the clay stone allows for the trapping of added essential oils and after a while the diffuser lets the oil diffuse slowly to the surrounding environment.  How to use:

Just remove the wax tablet from the package and add just 2-3 drops of essential oil to the clay-stone disk located at the center of the wax tablet and then hang it in the closet. Refill/reinfuse the disk with the same type of essential oil as and when needed. Use only one type of fragrance oil per freshener /diffuser. Changing oils is not recommended for the product. Avoid water contact wherever possible for long-lasting performance.

Since the product is made of ecofriendly materials it can be safely discarded as solid waste. Soy wax and beeswax may be reused for candle making.
