This avocado homemade ice cream gets its creamy texture from a special ingredient: avocados! No need for loads of heavy cream or egg yolks. Avocados will do that for you. The avocados are packed with good fats, fiber, and nutrients like folate and vitamin E. Also, they’re so delicious that you’ll want to go back for second scoops, and guess what? No one will stop you! 

It is made with cacao powder that retains more antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial compounds, making it a more nutritionally rich option for preparing desserts. It's perfection served in a bowl, especially for those watching their sugar intake during the summer.

Try this Avocado Ice Cream for a fresh, indulgent dessert option. 

Serves: 2 to 3 people

Preparation time: 15 minutes 

Total time: 4 hrs 15 minutes, including freeze time

Ingredients:

- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or oat milk

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 tsp cacao powder

- Stevia, to taste

Method:

  1. In a blender, combine the avocado, almond milk, vanilla extract, and cacao powder. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add stevia to taste and blend again to mix.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container.
  4. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  5. Before serving, let the ice cream soften slightly at room temperature.

Notes:

Avocados are rich in dietary fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar levels, improve digestion, and promote a feeling of fullness.
