Steps to make Creme fraiche: Step 1 - Addition of starter In a sterilized container, add a packet of Crème fraiche starter culture to pasteurized whole cream at room temperature. Stir gently. Step 2 - Fermentation Transfer the cream and starter culture mix to a sterilized glass jar Cover the jar with a cloth and fasten it with a rubber band Leave to ferment at 24-32 degree Celsius for 12-15 hrs Step 3 - Refrigeration Once the crème fraiche is set, refrigerate it for 6 hrs and it’s ready to consume. Flavour crème fraiche with herbs and spices and as a condiment or a creamy dip.
